BitTorrent to launch first paygated documentary series, featuring a catalog of 16 acclaimed films from leading independent distributor FilmBuff.
In September, we launched Bundle paygates with Thom Yorke. Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes was downloaded by 4.4 million fans around the world. In November, we opened up paygate applications to all artists. And on February 3, we’ll be launching our first on-demand paygated film series: a 4-bundle collection of 16 films, curated by FilmBuff’s cinephiles and cratediggers.
“As digital content becomes the norm, film distributors need to embrace a pioneering spirit while adapting to consumer behavior and expanding the reach of their films. We are delighted to be partnering with BitTorrent, and feel that this is a great step to bring film buffs and the films they enjoy even closer together.”

About BitTorrent Bundle
BitTorrent Bundle is a publishing project made with and for the world’s creative community. Our mission is to help artists connect directly with fans, inside the content they share.
Each BitTorrent Bundle allows artists to distribute content directly to the Internet. And each Bundle comes with a key. Fans can unlock artist content with an email address, or a direct payment to the artist. The idea is to make each song a storefront, and each file more valuable, every time it’s shared.
