Giving The People What They Want
We’ve been doing research on you. Yes you, the reader. Fellow pundits of pop culture, bandits of bandwidth, consumers of computer…um…stuff.
Thanks to the search engine optimization consulting company with which we worked, we’ve found out some fascinating info. Here’s a short list of the most popular searches on our site. And keep in mind this is entirely for real. No joke. We paid them to find this out.
1) Teen Movies – So are people searching for movies with teens, about teens, or by teens? Does that mean people are trying to find Eragon (dragon teen) or Girls Gone Wild (barely legal is still legal, right)? It’s kind of a broad range between the two. Of course, we could also include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Buffy (she was a teen) or Ghost In A Teeny Bikini (all of which come up in a search for “teen movies”).
2) Indian Movies – I’m not sure what this means. Is it “dots” or “feathers?” I mean, I freakin’ love Last of the Mohicans and Pathfinder (not really though), but if Dukaan, Mere Mehboob or any other Bollywood musical came up, I’d end up having to strangle myself to death with my own hands. Raincoat and Tum? are definitely worth checking out to expand your foreign film horizons, but you may not want to venture further than that.
3) Carton Network – What can I say about something this obvious? For years this is where people have gone for all carton and carton related needs. Such hit shows and movies as This Old Box, Pimp My Milk Crate, Boxing Helena, Packing With the Stars, Crate Is Enough, FedEx-Men and Are You Smarter Than A 5×5 Double Corrugated Extra Sturdy Cube?
4) Movie Trailer – People like trailer. Not trailers. Trailer. People think to themselves “Hey, I want to watch movie trailer. Not trailers. But just trailer. It needs to be specific enough to be one trailer, but not one with a name, otherwise I would have just typed that in.” Good work! Well here’s more than one trailer. Revel in their plurality. Hitman, Good Luck Chuck, and War.
5) Cartoon Network – Waitaminute. Is that supposed to be “Carton?” OH! I get it! It’s not CARTON Network it’s CARTOON Network! Cartoon is misspelled so often, that “carton” is one of our highest searches! LOL!!!! (yes, I said “lol”) Right. So, check out some Adult Swim stuff like Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Film For Theaters, Robot Chicken and my favorite The Venture Brothers.
I feel so much better now. I think we’ve really come to terms with what people are looking for on our site. Let’s review. We’ve found that people like movies and TV shows. They’re searching for the box channel and getting Girls Gone Wild, and Indian movies refer to South Asia not North America. Thanks for your work, SEO consultants.
