The FADER Announces BitTorrent Bundle Distribution Partnership

The award-winning publication becomes the first to use BitTorrent Bundle as its primary digital distribution channel. Read up.

Last October, we partnered with The FADER to release a landmark archive: a 100-issue collection spanning the magazine’s 16-year history as the definitive voice of new music and culture. More than 1 million readers downloaded The FADER 100. And today, starting with Issue 101, all upcoming issues of The FADER will be shared with fans via BitTorrent Bundle; marking the first time a magazine has named BitTorrent Bundle as its primary digital distribution partner.

“When we initially partnered with BitTorrent Bundle to release our entire archive, we were breaking new ground,” said Andy Cohn, president and publisher of The FADER. “This was something neither BitTorrent or The FADER had ever done before, and it ended up being one of our most exciting and successful launches to date. This crazy idea we had ended up reaching millions, with more than 1 million people downloading our 100th issue in less than one week and in more than 90 countries. The FADER thrives on breaking the traditional rules of media, and that’s why we’re pleased to extend this partnership and take it one step further. We want our readers to continue to enjoy and experience The FADER through a broad array of mediums, and continue to reach and share our award-winning content with new audiences.”

The FADER’s 101st Issue features Zayn Malik and YG. You can grab your digital copy for free, here, plus bonus behind-the-scenes videos from Zayn and The FADER’s deputy editor, Duncan Cooper. You can also now unlock the full FADER Archive of 100 issues for $9.99.
