Now All Drugs are Digital

The first documentary short from the team behind Children of the Machine uncovers the emerging world of device-tripping.

“The PC is the LSD of the ‘90s,” stated Timothy Leary in his last book, Chaos and Cyber Culture. Your first-ever desktop was acid. Think about your iPhone. Think about Oculus Rift. These are the 21st century’s digital super-strains. Let’s get wired.

In doing research for the upcoming BitTorrent series, Children of the Machine, set in the not-so-distant future, the filmmakers trailed the pioneers of today’s virtual psychedelic movement. They documented psychological dependency in the post-Internet age. And they interviewed some of its first casualties: the kids lost to digital addiction.

This is a first look at the doc, and a window into the world of Children of the Machine.
