It’s been another eventful week here in BitTorrent land…as per usual. While we found some more interesting content for you, courtesy of the Internet Archive, we also launched a new initiative.

In case you missed it, we kicked off a brand spankin’ new feature called Meet Our Team. Each week, we’ll take a few moments to catch up with our folks and see what they’re working on, how they came to work at BitTorrent, and more. We started things off with Adam (shown above) and if every picture tells a story, this is one you don’t want to miss. Click here to read more about the lead engineer on our Windows client.

Of course, with over a million torrents seeded in the Internet Archive to choose from, we found a few more interesting and relevant highlights over the past few days.

This isn’t your Mom’s music. All bad jokes aside, eccentric Portland-based experimental rock trio Menomena will be releasing their fifth album, Moms, next week.

Before signing with Barsuk Records for their third full-length release, they signed on with High Road Touring – based out of our hometown, San Francisco. This might explain the frequent visits to our city when they’re on the road and why most of their live performance recordings in the Internet Archive were taken at popular SF venues.

Menomena reached public consciousness with their 2007 debut, Friend and Foe, for Barsuk and the tour that followed was extensive and heavily documented. Below is a torrent of a performance taken at the infamous music venue, Cafe Du Nord:

The Great American Chocolate FactoryDid you know this past Thursday was International Chocolate Day? It seems like every day is chocolate day in our office but, nevertheless, we thought we’d celebrate this delicious occasion by watching a classic, The Great American Chocolate Factory courtesy of the Internet Archive.

This 28-minute-long film takes you inside Hershey’s Pennsylvania factory and provides you with everything you wanted to know – from a thorough explanation of the science of chocolate making (how they grow and test the cocao beans) to processing, mixing, and forming staple Hershey treats including Kisses, candy bars, and more.

It’s everything you ever wanted to know about chocolate combined with insight you may have never thought of otherwise. Enjoy the film and try not to drool too much.
